Terms of Use

Last updated: October 29, 2026. By using the Raízes website (blograizes.com.br) you agree to these terms. This is a courtesy translation; the Portuguese version prevails.

1. What Raízes is

An opinion and essay blog, maintained by José Eduardo Figueira Dantas. The pieces express the opinion of their author and are not legal, financial, medical or religious advice.

2. Copyright

The texts are protected by Brazilian Law No. 9,610/1998. You may quote short excerpts with credit and a link to the original, and share the links freely. To republish an entire piece, ask for permission through the contact page.

3. Comments

Respectful disagreement is welcome. We remove comments containing personal insults, hate speech, threats, spam, third parties’ personal data or illegal content. Commenters are responsible for what they write; moderators may edit or remove comments without prior notice.

4. Links and third-party services

Links to other sites are provided for reference; we are not responsible for their content. The share buttons (X, WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram, LinkedIn, email and your device’s share feature) only open the service you choose, which has its own terms and privacy rules. Whatever you post there is your responsibility.

5. Corrections and liability

We strive for accuracy and correct errors publicly, with the date. The site is provided as is and may be offline for maintenance.

6. Changes and jurisdiction

These terms may change; the date at the top indicates the current version. Brazilian law applies, and the courts of the district of Rio de Janeiro/RJ are chosen as the venue, without prejudice to consumer rights.
